Group Art Therapy (Online on Zoom)

14th April (1 hour) and sometimes 1 hour 15mins if we have more participants.

Group Art Therapy

A fortnightly Neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQIA+ and trans-feminist Art Therapy Group, open to past and current clients! 

If you are not a client of mine yet, you will need to have seen me for at least 3 sessions 1:1 before joining this Art Therapy group or you must have been a client or a client of a Violet Psychology practitioner/psychotherapist or counsellor.

Session Details:

- When: Mondays at 10 AM (Fortnightly)

Duration: 1 hour (with the option to extend to 1 hour and 15mins if needed)

Session Breakdown:

- 10 minutes: Check-in

- 30-40 minutes: Artmaking

- 20 minutes: Sharing and reflection

If we decide to extend the session to 1.5 hours, an additional fee of £4 will apply.

Participation:

You are welcome to attend whether you are a current or past client of mine, or a client of Violet Psychology, and you can choose to attend regularly or drop in as you wish. While regular attendance is encouraged for the best experience, this group aims to provide a relaxed space for all. If you’re curious but unsure about committing, please feel free to join us for a session!

What You'll Need:

- Art materials of any kind

- Access to Zoom

Cost:

- £30 for low-income self-paying clients (35 euro)

- £35-40 for others (Feel free to choose what you’d like to pay.) (40 euro)

Low income includes those working less than 16 hours a week or receiving Universal Credit or housing benefits without parental or family support. If you have parental support, earn a salary, or are using Access to Work, please consider paying the higher amount.

Currently, two regular clients are participating, and I look forward to welcoming more of you! If you’re interested in joining, please email me, pay the fee, and I’ll send you the Zoom link.

If we have more than five participants, I will invite another practitioner to assist, ensuring everyone receives adequate support. At this time, these sessions are for adults (18+).

Please note: Sessions must be paid for in advance. They are non-refundable as the fees do not cover admin costs or time. But if for whatever reason you can’t make the group one week, the cost can roll over to the next session.

Art Therapy and Yoga Therapy Workshop

2 hours, Date TBC 2025

£40 per person - minimum of 4 people needed for a session to run.

These will happen on Thursdays at 12-2pm. If enough people sign up we might offer an evening at 6-8pm.

Join us for a unique 2-hour online (Zoom) relaxed workshop that combines the therapeutic benefits of art and yoga, co-facilitated by Elinor Rowlands and Pheroza Sahni. This enriching session is designed to support neurodivergent individuals in exploring emotional well-being through creative expression and mindful movement.

Details:

- Duration: 2 hours

- Frequency: Every 5-6 weeks

- Cost: £40 per person (If 4 or more people attend)

- £60 per person for 3 people in attendance. Please note we are unable to run unless we have 3 people to attend due to our costs.

Session Breakdown:

- 10 minutes of introduction to yoga therapy and accessible teachings accessible to neurodivergent folk. 

- 30-40 minutes of Art Psychotherapy: Engage in a creative process guided by Jungian archetypes to explore your emotions and self-expression.

- 55 minutes of Yoga Therapy: Experience nourishing practices led by Pheroza, tailored to enhance physical and emotional well-being.

- 15 minutes for Reflection, Yoga Nidra and Deep Relaxation.

- 3 minutes Ending Mantra: Conclude the session with a time for reflection, sharing (optional) and a calming mantra.

Participation Details:

Clients are welcome to join from the comfort of their own space—whether from their bed or on a yoga mat on the floor. Please have the following materials ready:

- Paper and art supplies

- Yoga mat or blanket

New, past and future clients are very welcome.

Our workshops are led by facilitators who experiences processing delays and who embrace their authentic selves while guiding participants. You can expect a relaxed atmosphere where eye contact may not always be maintained and where the facilitators may stim. On Burnout

Addressing Access Barriers and Reducing Burnout for Neurodivergent Individuals Through Expressive Arts

Join us for an enlightening workshop that combines expressive arts and music with the exploration of burnout. Neurodivergent individuals will learn to:

- Define and Understand Burnout: Explore its effects and identify the five variations, including emotional burnout and demoralisation.

- Identify Access Barriers: Uncover your unique barriers that contribute to burnout through guided art-based activities and discussions.

- Develop Strategies to Reduce Barriers: Collaborate with peers to create practical solutions tailored to your needs during interactive sessions.

Embodied Artistic Workshops

Embodied Film-Making Workshops: A Neurodivergent Exploration of Sense-Making

These workshops provide a unique opportunity to engage with the cinematic arts through the lens of embodiment and sensory awareness. Led by neurodivergent facilitators, the sessions invite participants from all backgrounds—regardless of experience with cameras or smartphones—to delve into the complex relationship between the body, perception, and the act of film-making.

Workshop Focus:

- Embodiment in Film: Explore how physical presence and movement inform narrative and visual composition. Participants will engage in exercises designed to enhance awareness of their bodies and surroundings, cultivating a deeper connection to their storytelling practice.

- Sensory Engagement: Investigate the role of sensory perception in film-making. Through guided activities, participants will learn how to translate their sensory experiences into cinematic language, enriching their ability to convey emotion and narrative through visual mediums.

- Neurodivergent Perspectives: Engage with methodologies that challenge conventional film-making paradigms. The workshops encourage participants to examine how neurodivergence influences creative processes, providing a platform for diverse voices and approaches.

Practical Details:

- Duration: Four intensive workshops for a total of £300. To maintain an intimate setting conducive to deep exploration, we require at least six participants to proceed.

Journeying Free: A Stimming Workshop for Authentic Self-Expression
